How many have said to our children, “If you are going to live in my house, you are going to live by my rules”?  I know I have.  Usually we are mad when we say it, so something gets lost in the translation.  Serving the Lord is a good thing and we don’t need to make it out to be a form of discipline.  We do need to be disciplined though.  Making a family covenant or declaration is a great idea.  Last week we looked at Caleb and this week we will look at Joshua.
