We know there are 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament for a total of 66 books in the Protestant Bible.  That amounts to a lot of information for us to consume.  God does not want us to be uninformed.  He wants us to have a working knowledge of His Word.  Just like anything else.  The more we get familiar with something, the more comfortable and confident we will become.
