Have your parents ever told you, “when I say jump, you say how high”?  Maybe that was just my parents generation.  We are going to look at obedience today.  How many like it when our kids listen to us?  We ask them to do something and they jump right up and do it.  Instead of that old saying “in a minute”.  (usually means never)   We are God’s children.  When God tells us something in the Word or prayer, do we jump right up and do it, or do we say “in a minute”?

Last week looked at how God wants us to have the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.  Our relationship with Him is not just based on information but on getting to know Him and being able to process the information and make it applicable.  That is where we will pick up today.
