Memorials remind us of what God has done, but they can also remind us of what God has yet to do.  As a matter of fact, putting up a memorial was the first thing the children of Israel did when they came into the “Promise Land”.  The memorial was to remind them how God got them there.  Putting up the memorial was God’s idea.
