Paul is drawing some attention here in Romans chapter 12 to the concept that faith and practice need to be joined at the hip.  Faith is not just only a belief but an action.  We need to act on what we believe.  Christianity was never meant to be hidden behind the walls of a church, but to be practiced out in the world.
