What benefit is there to becoming a Christian?  Why not just roll the dice and wait until I get old and surrender my life to God right before I die?  That way I can live it up and do whatever I want and still make it to heaven.  Should people who surrender their life on their death bed be allowed into heaven?  Should their street be made of silver instead of gold?
