Paul in this chapter is dealing with the Jewish Christians which were part of the diaspora. He has already defended his apostleship, brought correction to the leaders and the Gentile Christians. Now he is going to reason with the Jewish believers who were still entangled with tradition. Some traditions are ok while others are a waste of time. Methods change but The Message stays the same.
